Modeling and Rendering Rice University
Houston ,TX
The generation of the pictures in this package began with AES (Architectural
and Engineering Software) from IBM and SOM. This software was used to create
the geometry for the buildings of the Rice U. campus as simple polygons. These
polygons were then converted into the format read by Radiance, using a program
written by Dwayne Fontenot.
So far, we have completed the buildings in the Rice quad, along with some
administration and residential buldings. Hopefully by the end of the school
year we will have finished the campus geometry in its entirety, including trees
and roads. More postings will follow these three as we add to the campus.
