This page is intended for new users who have no experience working from the command line.

Radiance is a command line driven program.  There are products that provide GUIs for using Radiance, but in reality a GUI will limit the options a user has with Radiance.  Users who want to use the full capability of Radiance are advised to learn to use the command line and learn some scripting techniques.

Using the command line is different for each operating system.  The pages in this sections are intended to help new users learn the basics of using the command line as well as some basic system options / settings that are useful for Radiance users.
