Kirk, you could have a go with the 3ds to Radiance interface called ConRad
which has been freely available, and developed by a Danish fellow, Ole
Lemming. No longer in development, sniff, still rather useful. I'm afraid
Ole's site isn't available anymore where the original version had been made
available, but I'm willing to share.
