Thanks for the info Axel, I guess your files will have the same performance issues I noticed too.

One caveat I would be aware of. If your Perl environment was running on Windows Vista or later, the binaries won't run on Windows XP or earlier due to missing dependencies. I had to rebuild mine using a Windows XP VM to get around this.

Also I found a bug in falsecolor.pl recently which I've not gotten around to forwarding the fix to Greg/radiance-dev as yet for.

I used PAR::Packer, like you did. This is explained on the download page:

I am providing the binaries for convenience to my students and others,
which is why I posted on general, not dev.  I have found that most
people find installing Radiance (not just under Windows) very
difficult, due to
a) Perl dependency
b) env variables
Not much that can be done about b), but I'm trying to help with a)
under Windows.
