Hi Jack,

I tried that too, without success.  Here's the last few lines from the 
decompress:

ray/lib/brick.pic
ray/lib/brickweave.cal
ray/lib/brickweave.pic
tar: Skipping to next header
tar: Archive contains obsolescent base-64 headers

gzip: stdin: invalid compressed data--crc error
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
hatteras:~/Desktop admin$
