[Radiance-general] Gensky too bright

Why is it that when I use gensky, my scene gets blown out - the light is way
to bright?
Is it the skyfunc that is blasting the scene or is it the sun?
Gensky is my only light source.
When I render, the scene is almost all white - a few grays in shadow areas.
I have a rif with exposure set to 1
I'm also using -av .1 .1 .1 - is that redundant with skyfunc?

Thanks
