[Radiance-general] Compiling 3.5 on RHL8?

Good news & bad news.

I got rad3R5 to compile on my Mac (that's a first), but when I tried to 
compile on my RedHat Linux 8 box the install script dies when it asks 
for the library path.  All is well until I get to:

Where do you want to install the library files {/usr/local/lib/ray]?

When I press return to accept the default (or even if I type it in), the 
script dies thusly:

if: Expression Syntax.

Ideas?
