I was going to say it also looked like the hyphen before the capital i was an em dash and not a hyphen...

    Looks like you have the "pipe" symbol ('|') rather than a capital "i" in your "-I+" option.  This is the advantage of cut-and-past, or at least using a font that differentiates these things...

    Hello,

    I have a question regarding the creation of a view matrix to do a three phase daylight simulation.


    I have a line in the batch file which is:

    rfluxmtx –I+ -ab 12 -ad 50000 -lw 2e-5  -y 6 - < data\workplane.pts scene\objects\window.rad scene\materials\material_detailed.rad scene\objects\radmodel.rad > results\south.vmx

    This is copied from the online radiance tutorial found here:

    When I run the batch file there is an error that says:
    rfluxmtx: cannot load ‘-ab’

    If I delete -ab from the line and re-run the batch file another error occurs which is:
    rfluxmtx: cannot load ‘-ad’

    So somethings occurring with the switches.

    I’m using the latest version of radiance on a windows 10 computer.


    I have discussed this with other people and we don’t know why it isn’t working and we would appreciate any insight.
