[Radiance-general] FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT - 15TH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL RADIANCE WORKSHOP

Dear Radiance Users

Manens-Tifs, in collaboration with EURAC Research, is pleased to host the
15th Annual International Radiance Workshop from Monday, August 29th to
Wednesday, August 31th  2016 at Manens-Tifs headquarters, located in Padua
(Italy). 

With a long tradition of gathering academics, consultants and anyone
interested in lighting related subjects using Radiance software, this event
is a great opportunity to learn and exchanging ideas. 

Attendees are invited to share examples of work they have performed using
Radiance, or that is in progress, in a prepared 30-minutes presentation.
Come to share your knowledge and/or learn about the latest Radiance
features, developments, and opportunities to apply Radiance in your
professional practice. Connect with enthusiasts from around the world who
apply Radiance in research,  lighting design, daylighting, animation,
simulation, and rendering activities.

If you are interested in presenting your work, which is highly encouraged,
please upload a short abstract (300 words or less). 

 

Separate proposals from a single presenter on more than one topic or project
are acceptable.

Presenters will receive a $50 discount on their registration fee. Students
are entitled to a 50% discount. Details on registration and fees will be
shortly available.

Presentations will be made available after the workshop on the web.

 

Online workshop registration as well as the abstract submission will open
shortly.

 

HOW TO GET TO MANENS-TIFS HEADQUARTERS IN PADOVA

Manens-Tifs is located in  industrial area of Padua ( see:
<https://goo.gl/maps/vARd1SKhn1U2> https://goo.gl/maps/vARd1SKhn1U2 ) at
about 8 kilometers from downtown Padua and the main railway station.
Manens-Tifs is connected to downtown by public bus line n.7 (departing in
front of main train station), however a private shuttle bus to and from
Padua will be organized for those staying in city center  hotels

HOW TO REACH PADUA

- By Plane: Padua is located near to International Marco Polo airport in
Venice (43 km), and Sant'Angelo airport in Treviso (50 km). Different public
transportation services are available. A shuttle service is also available
for attendees travelling to Padua from Marco Polo airport in Venice or Sant
Angelo airport in Treviso. For availability, prices and reservations, please

- By Train: Padua is located on the main railway network and there are many
high speed trains connecting to Venice, Verona, Milano, Bologna, and other
important cities.

- By Car: Attendees travelling from Milan or Venice on the A4 motorway must
follow directions to Bologna and exit at "Padova Zona Industriale",
Manens-Tifs is located at about 400 m on your left.
