Hi Niya,

I assume you are using Georg Mischler's "dxf2rad" tool ( http://www.schorsch.com/en/download/dxf2rad/). From the instructions:

dxf2rad input.dxf output.rad

So your command would want to look like this (I wouldn't bother with a batch file for this):

dxf2rad solid.dxf solid.rad

Note the lack of a redirect caret (">"), and the use of the filename without the full path. Obviously this means you should run the command from the directory containing your source dxf file. The dxf2rad program should be somewhere on your system's search path for this to work.

Hope this helps!

Hello,

I am searching for a better way to export a .dxf (from Rhino or AutoCAD 2014) file into .rad and saw some post in the radiance blogroll from quite some time ago 2007. The file is split in layers and assembled peaks over 25 MB. Any hint would

help me alot to save calculation time.

Could you, please, give me some idea on what the steps are. Have created also the bat.

content of bat file :solid.bat

dxf2rad \\psf\Home\Downloads\NIYA\#_00_NOW\solid.dxf>\\psf\Home\Downloads\NIYA\#_00_NOW\solid.rad

when I type in cmd.exe

C:\Users\Username>Downloads\NIYA\#_00_NOW\solid.bat

I get path not found

Maybe wrong syntax?

my system is Windows 7.

Kind Regards,

Niya
