Hi Nassif,

it might be that the "usage output" of evalglare is not up date. 
Definitely you can use the -vf option. You just need a valid view file.
Have you tried?
You don't have to change your header of your HDR image, this is a 
command line option.

Or you specify directly -vt/t/ ,-vh and -vv .
