"convert" is part of Imagemagick, the front-end to all its image
manipulation and conversion features. Very useful tool to have, it also
supports Radiance's hdr format (as long as you use its -gamma
parameter), so you can e.g. directly convert from HDR to PNG or JPG (not
a lossless operation of course...).
