[Radiance-general] converting unfinished renderings

Hi All,
I have acces to a rendering computer via putty - no X11, so I can not 
see the status of renderings  using ximage. When I try to convert the 
rendering I get the obvious "errror reading Radiance picture" error. 
Does anybody has a workaround for this situation? In other words, is 
there any way to convert an unfinished rendering?
