I agree, which is why it's important to have an officially  
sanctioned, long-term solution to the hosting of web  
documentation.    No one can afford to spend time developing content  
without assurance that it will be maintained and accessible over the  
long haul.  We need to plan our destination in advance of setting  
out.  This is why agreeing on the technological solution and how a  
site will be supported is important now.  Later, it will be too  
painful to "switch boats in the middle of the river" as we say.
