[Radiance-general] gendaylit and Perez sky question

gendaylit ... -W  direct  diffuse ... :
 
direct = direct normal irradiance in W/m2 due to the sun over total spectrum = beam radiation = solar radiation form the direction of the sun, and NOT on a horizontal surface - correct?
