Sorry, i didn't notice that commands had to be entered into the rview
window, i thought i had to use to shell.

The rvu program creates its own command window, so you have to click on 
that window and type your commands there.  Focus doesn't move with the 
mouse as on other systems.

You did remember to start X11, didn't you?
