Hi Schorsch,

yeah, there is definitely something strange about the illums when viewed 
under flat angle, I also experienced this. I used my usually well 
-working brute force type of approach and simply disabled the extra 
'drawsources' routine (I think in render() in rpict.c, I'm not quite 
shure anymore), to make this problem go away .. :-).

But concerning Rob's pictures, I think that there still might be some 
geometry errors in the coffer modell, e.g. gaps between polygons or 
intersections or whatever.
