[Radiance-general] Rendering with HDR probes

I've been playing with Paul Debevec's image based rendering and had some
questions..

http://www.geocities.com/rastermon/StPeters.html
I've rendered these images with rif settings:

QUALITY=h
RESOLUTION=1024	1024 0
REPORT= 10 house.err
INDIRECT= 3
PENUMBRAS= F
DETAIL=h
VARIABILITY= h
AMBFILE= house.amb
render= -av .1 .1 .1

Why is it so spotty? the HDR is 1500 x 1500 pixels - could res effect the
quality?

I've also notice that I'll need to rotate the glowing HDR box 90 degrees on
X (I think)

Any tips? I'm sure there are people who have used this well.

Thanks
