[Radiance-general] CAL Programming

Hi All

I was wondering if there are any good references for learning how to program 
CAL files in Radiance. I have the book "Rendering with Radiance" but it 
seems to be void of any in-depth information concerning writing procedurals 
with the CAL files. I have tried to go through the files to see how they are 
written but unfortunately, I can't understand how many of the equations were 
derived. The reason why I would like to know is so that I can write my own 
procedurals and so that I can better optimize the parameters for the 
standard cal files.
