[Radiance-general] Fun with FormZ export

I've got a fairly simple form--a long (60') bent steel bar--part of a
steel bar truss, modelled in FormZ as an axial sweep.  When I export a
bunch of these to OBJ format, I end up with a 5MB file.  When I
convert that file to .rad format, it's 38 MB!

Somehow, I don't think that's going to work.  It is not a complex
form--the hardest parts to model are the bends in the bar--but I would
prefer not to write code to do so.  Anyone have any thoughts?  Or
would it be better to start writing?
